. . . not necessarily found.
In a fit of frustration, angst and self-pity, I deleted my blog about a week ago.
Real life was getting in the way of my blogging. Or maybe blogging was getting in the way of real life. Or maybe it's just the time of year. My ability to compartmentalize seems to be waning (although I don't think it's necessarily a bad thing at my age) and deadline stressors that didn't bother me all that much before are causing, well, stress.
At any rate, I decided to shut it down, rethink, reevaluate and just go hide for awhile. Obviously, since I'm here now, I've had second thoughts.
The interesting thing is that I have a choice of re-posting all my old stuff (I have it backed up) or starting anew from this point on -- sort of like writing on the first page of a brand new book.
I haven't completely decided what to do, but in the meanwhile have some links and gadgets I need to fix.

WELL I sure am glad to see ya. How do you back up, and how do you get stuff from your old blog onto your new one. does Blogspot answer those questions?
I think i have been doing a similar thing to you in terms of how much time is my computer taking from my time and what returns do I get from it? I slowed down, but i tend not to burn bridges quite that fast. lol
Love it when you are part of the circle.
xoxo Charlie
I was wondering what happened and I'm so glad to see you're back.
I'm thankful for your second thoughts. Even though I find myself with little time and energy to get around to blogging or reading blogs lately, your blog and mine still matter to me and I keep thinking that one of these days I will make time for a good long visit with you again.
Please don't go away. If necessary, just don't post when you don't feel like it, and please do repost all your old stuff. I go back and read some of it now and then and would miss it. I've missed you for quite a while and hope things get sorted out and you feel better.
I've had a rough winter myself and understand that and hard times in life. I think of you as a friend and am concerned about you. Hope you stay (and restore). :-)
Thank you all for your encouraging comments.
I do think I'll re-post my old stuff. I was thinking of just putting back what I liked and leaving out the dross, but it would be a little dishonest to the whole process of blogging, which in my case is sort of stream of consciousness, whatever strikes my fancy, sometimes silly, sometimes serious, rant or outgush of emotions.
Charlie: Just before you click the delete blog button, Blogger gives you one last chance to backup to your hard drive. Thank goodness I retained some common sense and did the backup part. They also have an "import blog" function that restores things (sort of).
El, thanks for info...glad you posted so the circle could reach you before you pulled the trigger.
Love from all of us...
xoxoxo
Just a note: It's probably going to take a few days to get everything back up. Now that I have the chance, I'm trying to do a better job of organizing and tagging.
